Today seemed like any other day when I got up.

I thought, when the guy at the bus station asked for change, that hey - that's normal. I get that from time to time.

When my boss' boss kept me talking in his cube for twenty minutes - twice - I figured it had more to do with the mammoth report he was stuck reading. I'd be looking for distractions, too.

Yesterday, brooksmoses and I went climbing.  And possibly because I am suggestible, or possibly because he made it look interesting... last night, I climbed my first 5.10b!

And then I had trouble closing the fingers of my right hand into a fist for awhile.  It got better.

Raar. :)

70 undergraduate essays from a general education class.

I have graded 34 45 of them.

I'm not yet hauling out the big guns (thanks to eleryth for the gift of Timmy's-in-a-can) but I am going with regular infusions of caffeine - I'm torn at this point between hot chocolate or Blue Bottle's Giant Steps.

So I'm filling out a faculty survey about how changes to the campus are affecting said faculty, perception of campus priorities, etc.

Some of the questions are... interesting.  There was a question asking how important it was to me personally that I had a family/became wealthy/helped people in difficult situations/became an authority in my field ( Read more... )

So I may have found a movie worse than Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus.  I found it on Netflix this afternoon.

It's called Taintlight.

Five minutes in, I may already have discovered the highlight of the movie: "Additional music by Planet Smashers".

Though that mustache is hilariously bad. And some of the dialogue is really laughable (but only some).

So far, I have listened to U2's Achtung Baby album, and the Shins' Chutes Too Narrow.  I'm about to start on Fleetwood Mac's Rumours.
